I am running for Erie County District Attorney because I wish to make this office the finest and most well respected prosecutors' office in New York State. I have served the citizens of Erie County as an Assistant District Attorney and Deputy District Attorney for nearly 20 years and have prosecuted cases from the simplest to the most complex. I realized many years ago that this was the job for me, and although I have had opportunities to pursue more lucrative positions outside the of the District Attorney's Office, I knew that no other job would provide me with the same satisfaction. For the past several years I have led the Homicide Bureau, focusing almost exclusively on the investigation and trial of murder cases. Prior to that, I led the Special Investigations and Prosecutions Bureau. I sincerely believe that my uninterrupted and continuous dedication to the People of the State of New York and the citizens of Erie County, the results obtained in the courtroom, and my record of quiet yet effective leadership, make me the best qualified candidate.
